Celebrating 70 years of sports car since the XK120 was revealed in 1948 and at the time, the worlds faster production car.
To mark this, Jaguar have released a special edition F-Type Chequered Flag Edition.
It comes in 3 colour options, Caldera Red, Fuji White or Carpathian Grey and with a contrasting black roof on the Coupe with special chequered badging.
Sit inside and you’re greeted with luxurious Windsor leather with a choice of red or Cirrus stitching with special chequered flag motifs embossed in the headrests with matching red 12 o’clock marker on the steering wheel whilst the headlining is finished in black suede.
The infotainment system features Meridian audio, a suite of connected services and for the very first time in the F-TYPE, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that will be included in the full range.
Powered by either the 300PS (296bhp) 2.0 Litre 4 Cylinder or the 3.0 Supercharged 340PS (335bhp) and 380PS (375bhp) variants. The 375bhp version can also be had in all wheel drive. All mated to the 8-Speed Quickshift Transmission.
The Chequered Flag Edition starts from £62,335 OTR and can be ordered now.
For the 20MY F-Type range, there are a few enhancements, such as parking aids and reverse camera to be included as standard. A reduction in damping by 24% to give a more forgiving low speed ride.
The F-Type R will also receives an upper ball joint from the SVR with Jaguar stating that this enhances capability and robustness
The F-Type itself can be ordered from £51,925 OTR.
At the time of writing, the F-Type has won 174 awards including World Car Design of the Year.
